   OK, now for some unforseen reason the connection is working.   
   I still get intermittent error 721's, but the connection works periodically.   
      
   I have a copy of the ppp.log for both successful and unsuccessful connection   
   attempts, which I will trawl through. I am also configuring the firewall and   
   router (client - side) now i know that the connection works.   
      
   Which configuration issues (server - side and client - side) are likely to   
   give these intermittent problems?
