|    FWAG114 - Remote VPN client from any end    |
|    25 Jan 04 10:26:24    |
From: ljriffle@adelphia.net               From "Reference Manual for the ProSafe Dual Band Wireless VPN Firewall       FWAG114", SM-FWAG114NA-0 Version 1.0 June 2003, Table 7.1:              > If Remote Access is selected, the “Exchange Mode” MUST be       > “Aggressive,” and the ‘Identities’ below (both Local and Remote) MUST       > be “Name.” On the matching VPN Policy, the IP address of the remote       > VPN endpoint should be set to 0.0.0.0.              However "VPN Policies" -> "Auto Policy" -> "Remote VPN Endpoint" ->       "Address Data" will not accept 0.0.0.0, Error messages says it isn't a       valid IP address.              Any help appreciated. Netgear support's response was to send me       documentation on configuring the Windows XP client. Not sure how that       was supposed to help me configure their server. I never mentioned       Windows; I don't own a machine that would run Windows and my client (VPN       tracker on MacOSX) is working fine but as a single hard coded endpoint.       I need to be able to connect from the road where I won't know my ip       until dhcp gives it to me.              Larry Riffle              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
