|    POPTOP routing    |

From: davidREMOVEfarrow@REMOVEskynet.be              All,              I am trying to connect windows clients to a linux box running poptop       behind a firewall                     The client system has a public internet address.       The firewall has a public and an internal address 10.0.0.1       The internal server has the ipaddress 10.0.0.160.       The poptop server assigns an ip adress in a range within the 10.0.0.x       Everything works fine, except that the client can only contact the       10.0.0.160, but it cannot reach other machines in the private network.              This is quite logical, as the other private machines don't know they       need to send packets for the pptp client to the 10.0.0.160 machine, so       even if the poptop server forwards to the private machine, there is no       way for it to reply. The firewall acts as a dhcp and gateway for the       private network.              So what do I need to do to enable the poptop server to forward correctly       and enable the private machines to reach the pptp client? Can I add some       routing on the gateway to send packets intended for any ip address from       the pptp range to the poptop server?              Thnx for any ideas              D              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
