I've only had experience with two clients so take my opinion for what
   its worth.

I use VPNTracker from MacOSX to connect to a Netgear FWAG114 at home. It
does everything I need well enough. My one contact with their technical
support was very satisfactory. What problems I've had have been with
   Netgear.

I use a Cisco client to connect from home to work. I couldn't get it to
work with the FWAG114. When I connect to the Cisco concentrators at work
with it, its unreliable as heck. I don't know if that's the fault of the
client, the concentrator or the way they are configured.
