   Me, too. With the other issues resolved, I sat back down, opened both   
   routers' web GUIs, and found and fixed a mismatched setting in about five   
   minutes. Bingo: VPN tunnel.   
      
   Now I just need to iron out the NetBIOS-over-VPN issues that seem to trip   
   up a lot of users. If there's a single consistent answer to that one, I   
   haven't found it.

   It's not masochistic to make sure you've worked through every step you   
   can do before ringing in help. I've spent time with tech support going in   
   circles until it was discovered that some relatively simple, obvious step   
   on my end had been overlooked. So I try to make sure nothing has been   
   overlooked before calling for help.
