I'm not looking at my MS VPN clients - I don't see any use for them       with a router-to-router tunnel. I was looking at the TCP/IP network       configuration pages.              > I am only discussing NetBIOS name resolution in a peer-to-peer       > (Workgroup) network.              Okay... What I'm trying to enable (as are, apparently, a lot of other       folks in this and other forums) is NetBIOS access across the VPN tunnel.       I've read a number of how-tos and such and all seem to be concerned with       problems I don't have (varying software clients, dynamic IP addresses,       large user numbers).              If there's a simple, straightforward way for my system to use NetBIOS       names and access across a working hardware VPN tunnel, I would appreciate       pointers to it. I can access the far server as 192.168.1.100 (and have       applications working with it on that layer); I want to access it as       \\FOOBAR so I can share drive space and let other, non-IP-aware apps use       functions there. It appears that I need DNS/WINS resolution at some       point, but I've never had to mess with that level of nameserver       configuration and consequently am a bit lost.              But hey, I've gotten this far, at least. :)              --       | James Gifford * FIX SPAMTRAP TO REPLY |       | So... your philosophy fits in a sig, does it? |       | Heinlein Pages Updated!
