Anyway, has anyone heard of this       >movie "Quiet Cool"? It stars James Remar (who plays Michael C. Hall's       >Dad on "Dexter") I caught it on Sundance two weeks ago. Remar is       >this cop who ventures into Ventura County to nab some marijuana       >dealers who killed his GF, and to say it deserved the MISTie       >treatment is an understatement. The dialogue is laughable, and the       >acting is just _so_ over the top in a 1980s sort of way. But a guy can dream, right?               Easily dream, sure. I know people are (inexplicably) upset at       the 'Hamlet' MiSTing, but I'd never heard any serious disputing of the       choice of 'The Girl In Golden Boots' before.               I haven't seen 'Quiet Cool' --- I'm not even sure I've got the       Sundance channel, although on one of those channels I did recently see       a documentary about the Bauhaus school --- so I don't know how to       compare them. Mostly I'm just hoping to make it through the '31 Days       Of Oscar' absence of TCM Underground intact.              --        Joseph Nebus       ------------------------------------------------------------------------------              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
