I was born & raised in southern ohio, I live in a suburb outside Dayton (not       the best city, but we're working to revive it) splitting Cinci. and Columbus.       I live in a middle class neighborhood, no corn fields, no friends that live on       farms, drive        tractors to school or speak improperly.               There are actually kids I remember from high school that had to TRY to be       "country" by wearing cowboy hats & cut off shirts while blaring country music       from their truck, which we all know *doesn't* make you country. At the end of       the day those kids went        home to houses & neighborhoods just like mine.               We have a pretty diverse city, my high school has 2,500 students alone & is in       proximity of less than 15 miles from the other city's (we all boarder each       other, no fields in between, shocker!) high schools that are actually bigger.               I don't understand why Ohio gets so much flack? We have all four seasons,       (what studies & traveler's have said for decades) to be the nicest people &       the lowest rate of divorce.        We contributed to history in flight, space travel & providing food to every       other state with the agriculture we do have. (not to mention the NFL Hall of       Fame & the rock'n roll Hall of Fame as well) l              We're also a huge swing state with a high number of electoral votes, but       unlike most of the other states that hold higher amounts, our state is won by       different parties based on the actual election. We're not always Republican or        Democratic, we vary.               I love living here & the great morals I've been taught with etiquette as well.       Ohio is an Amazing state, I wish people would open their eyes, shut their       mouths and give it a chance. Every state has flaws, phrases to be said about       it etc. They also all        have beauty as well.        -proud to be a Ohioan              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
