These functions where introduced in the       days graphic cards had not much memory (only 256 KB max.). So the       graphics card has to hold both pages in its ram. 640x480@4 Bit per pixel       (= 16 colors) is: 153600 Bytes, that's more than the half of the       graphics ram.              => the highest mode you can use with this technique is 640x350@4 Bit,       because that needs 112000 Bytes per page.              Greetings              Markus              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
