   Maybe you could call the win API directly, the winsock unit in Delphi is   
   merily a delphi wrapper around the winsock functions...   
   You only need a book describing winsock or some good API reference...   
      
   Other things:   
   - did you already google?   
   - The SWAG package under www.gdsoft.com -> SWAG has maybe something...
