   Yes and no. You can replace that ovl with one of Borland C, but then   
   only parts of the memory managemeng get 32 Bit. You won't get linear   
   memory with BP7 that way, only more memory.   
      
   But: some of the code generated by the BP  compiler is indeed 32 bit if   
   you write this on the first line before even the "program": {$G+}   
   which turns on 286+ optimisation and also includes some 32 bit   
   instructions for calculating. These programs run no longer on a 8086 then.

   It is. DPMI has not really to do with Windows, which acts as a DPMI   
   server to DOS programs.   
      
   Native Windows Programs are not DPMI ones and need to be written with   
   TPW (included with BP7) or Delphi.
