   I don't think there are many Unix/Linux packages which come with an   
   uninstall script. That's one of the reason .rpm and .deb packages are so   
   popular (and those are provided as well).

   I think it's perfectly fair to suggest people to use the mailing list   
   (or newsgroups) if they have problems. Otherwise, the next person with   
   the same problem will also mail, since he won't find the answer which   
   you got via email with Google.   
      
   That does not mean such an answer should to be aggressive or deriding of   
   course, though the tone of the answer often depends on the tone of the   
   question (and we're also only humans which sometimes have a bad day).
