Well, I have a MS in Computer Science (I was in a PhD program), and
I've been a professional programmer for 26 years, in Pascal since
1987. My guess is that I know more about it than you do.

   >What do you mean that I can use functions and procedures??

You don't have to use procedures and functions. The computer doesn't
care whether you do or not. It is up to you. They make it easier for
you and for anyone else working on the program, but you can write the
whole program without procedures or functions if you want to.

   > Of course I have to use them...

No you don't have to use them, unless that is part of your homework
assignment. You said "Oh and should I use procedures or functions?"

   > but i don't know which one is ideal.

   That's up to you to.
