From: abuse@telia.com              > There even is a FAQ about it:               Yes indeed. And I hope that no *serious* students are discouraged       from asking questions when they get stuck somewhere, just because a few,       that think they can get it all on a silver platter, simply by asking in       this news group, are dismissed the usual way.               I for one, like you I think (judging from the fantastic       contributions you have made to the Pascal community), love to share my       knowledge with anyone interested. But like hell I'll contribute to       anyone's attempt to get a better grade the way this anonymous "science       guy" obviously tried to.               A few tips to the students seeking information here:               1) Use your real name. If you don't it seems obvious that you don't       want your teacher to find out about your quest for information.               2) Show us what you've produced so far, and ask just about some       specifics that got you stuck. We are many here that can point you to the       right direction, if only you show us what you've done so far.               3) Asking advice is perfectly acceptable, but make sure it shows       that advice is all you ask for, not the complete package, ready made.              --        FidoNet in your news reader: news://felten.yi.org        For full access, register at: http://felten.yi.org/join.html              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
