      From: markus.humm1@freenet.de              Hello,              the main difference is, that Pascal was developped with strong type       checking in mind (eliminating possible failures during compile time) and       C was not, leaving such nasty bugs to the intelligence of the programmer       (which isn't always cute enough to cope with such bugs...)              You can see this for instance on the PChar (C, ugly construct, afaik       prone to buffer overflows if used as such) and the Borland/Turbo Pascal       string with the included length which makes bounds checking much easier...              Greetings              Markus              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
