   So you assumed I was working in either DOS or from DOS boxes...   
   Right you are, as I never mentioned I am using the BPW.exe, working in windows   
   3.1 natively. I was just too preoccupied not to realise we also have BP.EXE   
   for a character based IDE.   
      
   Having looked at the character based IDE of the BP.EXE, I wil say to prefer   
   this GUI based version with some 56 lines per window due to the selected   
   "MS LineDraw,08" font on a 1024*768 screen. My "problem" with the manual   
   alignment is that it works on a per pixel basis and not on a line/character   
   basis, so it requires some accuracy for a proper aligment :-))
