   No, but you are not doing something right.   
      
   Assuming BP7 & compatible, menu Options, Compiler, entry Conditional   
   defines.   
      
      
   Alternatively, IIRC, every affected unit could contain, at the   
   beginning,   
    {$I defines.inc}   
   and that file could contain your global control defines.
