   some code for this can be found in SWAG (www.gdsoft.com)   
   another good friend of yours will be www.wotsit.org, which has the   
   descriptions of many file formats.   
      
   Hint: declare the BMP header as record and define a file   
   of that type...   
      
   Open the BMP a 2nd time after reading the header, this time open it as   
   file or file of byte.
