   No. One of the first things GVFM does is walk through "A:\" to "Z:\" to   
   determine what drives on the the host machine are valid, and what type of   
   drive they are (floppy, hard, cd, network etc). It then restores its desktop   
   to the state it was in the last time it was exited. All this will take a bit   
   longer if you don't have a disk in your floppy or cd drive[s].
