   Well, if you use BP7, there is a book named "Turbo Vision". Search in the   
   index for editor. The helpfile also has entries.   
      
   Note that an editor is already a complex piece of software. You might be   
   better served by simply starting e.g. notepad and reading the result after   
   saving (though that probably would be easier in Delphi)
