   Won't ever change. 32-bit code is simply bulkier, and the RTL is portable,   
   not handwritten 16-bit assembler.

   In 2.2.4 via 2.2.2 the IDE is roughly on the same level as in the 1.0.x   
   series.   
      
   2.4.0 (real soon now) will hopefully further improve the help (an optional   
   chm download that is quicker to decompress and smaller on disk), and I hope   
   that 2.4.2 in summer/next fall will improve the debugger support. (moving to   
   gdb7)
