   One thing: under Windows it simply couldn't turn into a memory hog,   
   since windows doesn't provide that much memory to DPMI appplications!   
   Under 9x you can simply set the limit and even under NT/2000 this can be   
   done and I think the max. possible limit is even lower there!   
      
   So where's that memory hog now?
