From: ekblaw@vnet.ibm.com              One of these days I'll get around to listing my Type 6020 (Woodfield) on eBay       (it's the "IBM Internal Use Only" predecessor to the Power Thinkpad 820 and       850). Since none of them were ever supposed to leave IBM, it is truly a rare       beast -- and like most        of the Power Thinkpads, it's "mostly worthless" from a functional perspective       (not great even when new compared to the RS/6000 workstations). But it can       run Windows NT 4.0 (just need the boot diskette and a standard NT install CD),       OS/2 for PPC (if you        can find it, and even if you do, it's "enhanced uselessness"), AIX 4.1.4 to       AIX 4.2.1 (again, just need install media) and Linux (if you can find a       version of PowerPC Linux that has boot media that supports the 6020, was rare       back in the day and is        almost unobtanium today).              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
