From: ohland@charter.net              The LED monitor >should< handle the XGA-2 especially during POST where       the video is 640x480 @60Hz. I have used a 15" HP LED monitor on a Model       90's planar XGA, and I'm sure over the years, many folks have used XGA-2       with a LED monitor.              The dots at the top of the screen -MAY- provide a clue on the cause.       After repeated BBH®, I have DIMM memories of screen trash by a failing       component. This is prior to the O/S loading, so it's doubtful the       artifacts are due to software drivers.              I surfed a bit, and it seems there was only one version of SurePath BIOS       for the SLC3. At this point, I'm not klar -IF- the SLC3 system BIOS is       in a EEPROM or EPROM. SurePath has been associated with FLASH-based       systems which accept BIOS updates via an update diskette.              Carsten Lyng wrote:       > The arifacts are small blue dots in the top of the screen, I will see if i       can take a picture of them              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
