   Did you stumble upon any evidence of the earlier board versions implementing   
   the S3 Vision 864 (not 868) video?   
   One of my boards is like that, I think the difference is it's lacking video   
   acceleration.   
      
   Did you get the 1 MB cache configuration going, or your L2 cache working at   
   all?   
   My 256 KB don't seem to appear in any common diagnosis tools like cachechk.
