|    Rejected and dejected... [Fanuc IC647WMI    |

From: ohland@charter.net              I am findting no love [documentation-wise] on the Fanuc Parallel       Interface adapter, IC647WMI620 / WS6AI.              Mike Lycett sendt me feelthy-feely images of the -620 daughtercard and       main card, there is a pair of 8-bit bitslicers on it, 29 tiny SOC fuses,       and seven [IIRC] 16 pin diode DIPs [8x diode per device]. Some SIMMple       discrete logic, 11 SIPP resistor networks...              I have no idea of what flavor of parallel we have, that is a helluva lot       of protection for a lowly printer port. There is ZEERO discrete parallel       controller on the daughter -OR- base card. It has two eight position DIP       switches with NO legend. On an MCA card.              My spidey senses tingle with visions of RS-485 configuration akin to the       OPTO-22 brain boards. My SWAG those set the address and termination for       a multi-drop RS-485, and I wandt nothing with flipping those switches to       all 16 squared combinations.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
