   "Keithley/Metrabyte provided a Standard Software package for DOS with   
   each board sold. This Standard Software provides minimal utility   
   software for test and calibration of the hardware. Some example programs   
   are also included with the Standard Software downloads. Advanced   
   Software Option (ASO) is software that was sold in addition to the   
   purchase of the hardware. More extensive programming language support as   
   well as example programs in each of the languages is provided with these   
   downloads. ASO was available for both DOS and Windows. ASO for Windows   
   was originally targeted for Windows 3.1. For use in Win95 or Win98 with   
   32bit compilers, the ASOWIN95 upgrade is required in addition to the   
   original16bit software. ASO software will not work in Windows NT.   
   DriverLINX (compatible boards) or register level programming is required   
   for operation in Windows NT."
