|    [NEWS] -- Evolve The Enterprise Romance    |

XPost: alt.startrek, alt.tv.star-trek, alt.tv.star-trek.enterprise       From: spam@wonderful.spam              Evolve The Enterprise Romance              Connor Trinneer, who plays Cmdr. Trip Tucker on UPN's Star Trek:       Enterprise, told SCI FI Wire that he hopes the show evolves last season's       romance between his character and the Vulcan T'Pol (Jolene Blalock). "If       they're going to do that again, I sure hope they make it evolve, that       something happens, [that] it goes in a direction," Trinneer said at UPN's       fall press preview in Los Angeles last week. "That's what I'd like to see.       If that's going to happen, then make it go in a direction."              But Trinneer said he liked where his character went last season, during the       Xindi war arc, in which Tucker had to deal with the death of his sister in       an unprovoked alien attack on Earth. "It's something, of course, that he'd       never dealt with on the show before," Trinneer said. Tucker also found       himself more at a distance from his close friend, Capt. Jonathan Archer       (Scott Bakula), Trinneer said. "There was more of a distance between the       captain and Trip than I thought there was previously. ... I think Trip's       full of dark, ambiguous stuff. I think that is Trip. I think that that's       definitely ... a part of him beforehand. I don't think that was anything       new in terms of my own process about playing him. ... I think it makes it       more interesting to be funny and tragic." Star Trek: Enterprise returns       Oct. 8 in its new 8 p.m. ET/PT Friday timeslot.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
