What I'd like to know is why has Paramount been asleep at the
freakin' wheel on this? It should _not_ have taken until ST:
NEMESIS for them to get a clue this franchise was in
trouble--cracks were starting to show when ST: GENERATIONS was
on, and ST: VOYAGER was a virtual abyss. But, then, Disney pulls
the same mess--they make so much off merchandising that it takes
the industry equivalent of Pompeii for them to try a different
   direction.
