   I thought that too at first and was prepared to really hate the   
   character. But Billingsly has overall done a decent job even with   
   material that often seems trite and silly. He's certainly handled his   
   role better than the others who seem lost most of the time.   
      
   Sometimes a good actor can elevate even the trashiest script and   
   transcend the lamest direction.
