XPost: alt.startrek, alt.tv.star-trek, alt.tv.star-trek.enterprise              I tend to agree about Phlox. He has done quite well with the character. I       don't really mind any of the characters on Enterprise... even like       Mayweather as the Checkov/Wesley stand-in. What really sucks about       Enterprise is that it's not *science-fiction* and not TREK. What really       really really sucks about Enterprise is how it rewrites so much TREK history       and lore (First Contact did this too). That's a pet-peeve of mine and one       that I just can't get over.              The Suliban aren't TREK. The Borg appearing in Enterprise isn't TREK. Xindi       aren't TREK. Next thing we're gonna see is Ship-to-ship communications with       Romulans... which would be ridiculous (will REAL ST Fans give an Amen on       that!). The show should be called "Voyager: Re-imagined."              What is TREK? I love the Andoria vs. Vulcan thing! That was genius! Though I       never heard of this conflict before it is extremely interesting. That HAS TO       BE expanded on in the show. Alas, it is not. I don't care about Future Guy       or Xindi or whatever crap B&B think is "original." Enterprise is about the       "ROOT" of TREK. At least it seemed to be at first.              "wandering wastrel" |
