   I really hate the type of mentality that thinks people disappear   
   when their eyes get covered and no flintlocks are produced   
   when kirk calls them serpents.

   Which must be McCoy has absolutely no change in expression when Kirk   
   orders the guns.  Because its obvious to him and 99.999999% of   
   the people who have seen the episode that the balance of power needed to   
   be maintained - will be, and was.
