   Hmmm.. I think once comtamination occurs it's perfectly OK to try to correct   
   things and push the Prime Directive. The Klingons had already messed things   
   up. This interpretation of the Prime Directive was expounded upon in the   
   novel "Prime Directive".... though I know it's not "canon."
