   What makes you think it's a pay cut?   
      
   I, personally, have not heard of the details regarding a ballpark figure,   
   but is it not possible that Shatner is simply asking for a ridiculous amount   
   of cash?   
      
   Like you said, if the amount was reasonable, don't you think they would be   
   jumping up and down to have him on the show (a la Brent Spiner)?
