From: kilroy@elvis.rowan.edu              I saw this in talk.origins, but nobody mentioned it here, which is       clearly some sort of travesty. This week marks the 30th anniversary of       the greatest moment in the history of televised entertainment.              William Shatner performed Elton John and Bernie Taupin's "Rocket Man"       at the 1978 Science Fiction Awards show. Shatner was introduced by       Taupin.               http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvQwXOCKNLY              People frequently say something "has to be seen to be believed", and       it's an exaggeration. In *this* case, it's staggeringly, horrifyingly       true. Really. Must be seen to be believed.                     Darren Provine ! kilroy@elvis.rowan.edu ! http://www.rowan.edu/~kilroy       Vila: "I think I just made the biggest mistake of my life."       Orac: "It is unlikely. I would predict there are far greater mistakes        waiting to be made by someone with your obvious talent for it."              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
