|    Star Trek DVD question    |

From: arromdee@violet.rahul.net              I would like to get the TOS Blu-rays. Question: I know they are 4:3.       However, are they 4:3 with black bars encoded into the video. or are they       4:3 requiring you to adjust your TV set to show them in 4:3?              The reason I am asking is that a number of sets, including my own, falsely       assume that all HD material is in 16:9 format and do not let you adjust your       set to 4:3 when playing HD video. Unless they have black bars encoded in,       there is no way I can play them.       --        Ken Arromdee / arromdee_AT_rahul.net / http://www.rahul.net/arromdee              "In a superhero story, Superman jumps off buildings and flies. In a realistic       story, Superman doesn't jump off buildings and can't fly. Deconstruction is       writing a story where Superman can't fly but he still jumps off of buildings."              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
