   That plot sounds really familiar to me.  If it wasn't in the show, it   
   must have been in a novel.  Can't tell you which one.  It's probably   
   something I read 20 years ago.   
      
   But the story is out there somewhere.  I recommend going to a Barnes &   
   Noble and browsing the Star Trek paperback novels.  Look for everything   
   with Q in the title and then read the blurb.
