   Woke conformity is only one part of the problem, IMO. Another is the   
   dearth of original ideas.   
      
   The sad part is that smaller studios are still making mid-budget movies   
   with original ideas, and people are still very happy to go see them when   
   they're available, but they don't seem to get into the theaters. I guess   
   the major studios force them out to push their latest bland, superficial   
   attempts at blockbusters.
