   Oh.  OK, I was wondering about that also.  Flox's scanners sounded the   
   cardiac arrest warning (at least, that's what it sounded like!) and they   
   lift Trip up.  Then he's all fine and dandy, giving Archer a wink.   
      
   I guess it wasn't a cardiac arrest warning

   Flox does not announce death, his words are "We need to get him in the   
   chamber, NOW!"  It wasn't a steady tone warning like the cardiac arrest, it   
   did indeed sound like a imminent system collapse warning instead.   
      
   A bit vague.  Maybe there's room for that scene to work out in the end but   
   it was very confusing when you first watched it.  They could have done   
   better, for sure, in terms of being more precise in what was going on if you   
   are going to make Trip look dead one second and winking the next.
