   Some people don't realize that the 4 quadrants are of the Milky Way Galaxy   
   only. Star Trek never left the galaxy that I know of. There was a show in   
   TOS where a couple that looked like the Adams Family with a cane that had a   
   crystal on the end of it. They created this castle on a dead planet. When   
   Kirk broke the crystal everything disappeared leaving to little bird looking   
   skinny freaky animals that died. They may have been from another galaxy.
