   I presume this attribution is a joke, since it's my pick for   
   worst technobabble in Star Trek.  Spock says it to Scotty   
   while Scotty is trying to fix the transporter in   
   The Doomsday Machine.   
      
   I have to admit it's conceivable Spock meant some kind of   
   polarity other than electrical polarity.  But it's more   
   likely the writers didn't know what was wrong with the   
   technobabble.
