   Definitely comes under the heading of "mercy award" ... the judges   
   probably felt sorry for that sad sack.  Besides, with all the crap   
   that's on TV now, winning any kind of award is akin to finding a   
   rotten apple in a pile of dung.   
      
   Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Kirk Douglas, John Wayne, Clint   
   Eastwood ... those were actors.  By comparison, Shatner's a Grade C   
   hack .. at best.  I still can't rid my mind of images of him in T.J.   
   Hooker ... sheesh!
