   I assume it must work that way (of course, we've never seen Bones standing   
   there NOT answering).  They don't look at any kind of readout before they   
   answer, so I don't see how it works except that only the correct   
   communicator rings.

   Mine connects to my best friend if I say "Kirk to Enterprise" -- it also   
   calls him if I say "Russ" just in case, like, a girl is in the room or
