   I don't think he specifically set out to invalidate the Expanded Universe in   
   the new trilogy and nothing really did so in a major way. The big way he   
   could have is with Coruscant and he didn't.   
   I would add that the animated Clone Wars, parts one and two, are canon as   
   far as I know.   
   And I second that...who cares what is canon and what isn't? Do you enjoy it?   
   Then that's all that matters.
