   That really was the style in the bad old days of yore however; in the 17th   
   Century guys used to get a lot more chicks if they acted like a pansy. See   
   also "The Scarlet Pimpernel" wherein nobody thinks the good guy is the   
   heroic swordsman because he's such a poof.   
      
   Adam Ant made a bazillion dollars riffing on that Romantic Era style.
