   1, If this "Spock and Kirk's first mission together" pans out, it   
   conceivably be based on the "Enterprise" novel that came out about 20 years   
   ago. Unlikely, but something to think over.   
      
   2. Somebody mentioned somewhere in this group about the possibility of the   
   movie being based on Kirk and Spock's time at the Academy. That one's been   
   floating around for about 15 or 20 years already (I first heard of the rumor   
   about the time "Undiscovered Country" came out). Not sure of the likelyhood   
   of this one, but it'd be nice to see it finally get to the screen if it   
   does.
