   I don't know about prices in the UK, but in the US, those figures are way   
   out of line.  An upgrade copy of XP home can be had for $99 US   
      
   (I don't know what the current ratio of the US $ to the UK £ is)   
      
   Full featured copies of Office can be had for $400 US.  If you're a student,   
   or work for the government, you can get Office for peanuts.  A student copy   
   is about $120 US.
