   Oddly every single one of my refurbed HPs have booted linux no problem   
   at all.   
   I know they have a bad rep. but my guess is that huge numbers went to   
   corporate and lease purchases and they didn't want comeback so their   
   performance is unspectacular but  extremely reliable.
