   I tried that in the 90's. Most friends and family aborted the call when   
   confronted by the machine. And the phones did not have call ID back then.   
      
   I had to tell people to please leave a message, because you have already   
   paid the phone call and I don't know who to call back. And the machine   
   picks up too early, I might be at home.
