Apparently they were       designed specifically for the Farmer to take his wife to Church on       Sundays and then to load up with livestock during the week to take them       to market ... or so the story goes. In the U.S. of A., they might have       called the body style a Pick-Up Truck.              As we kids came along, he brought a VW Kombi van ... to hold all his       tools/ladders/stuff during the week and then, on the week-end, the tools       were out to make way for some flat chipboard seats for us to sit on.              Seatbelts?? What are they?? ;-P              When we travelled long'ish distances to visit relo's, Dad would put a       mattress on top of the motor compartment so some of us could get a bit       of extra sleep.              I think the Kombi was followed up with a Honda Scamp. Not much more than       a Honda 360cc Motorbike engine in a small car body!       --       Daniel70              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
